(Japan) Looking for Spa Manager for a luxury hotel.

About the Role:
Responsible for all aspects of the Spa & Wellness Operation, marketing and promotions, operating criteria, programming, budgeting, VIP guest visits, staff relations and training. Oversee health-focused programs, staff, and operations to enhance employee, member, or client well-being.The Spa Manager will play a key role in the Spa & Wellness's vision of success and guest expectation.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Preparing the annual business plan, forecasts and marketing plan in conjunction with the other Department Heads and General Manager.
• Ensure the establishment and execution of all departmental goals. 
• Serve as a link between the hotel and the spa industry. 
• Promote and sell customized spa programs to conference groups as required. 
• Promote all hotel and spa packages and promotions. 
• Identify new business and marketing opportunities. 
• Work with Corporate advertising, promotion and public relations as required. 
• Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotion and sales techniques. 
• Administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the spa's operations i.e. business telephone usage, guest relations, spa services (massage, body scrubs, facials etc.), retail sales etc. 
• Assist in the supervision, operation and coverage of all spa departments.
• Ensure effective communication amongst all departments within the hotel.
• Manage, train, and motivate all personnel reporting to this position. 

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 to 2 years previous work experience in similar positions in a luxury hotel is preferred
• Preferably candidates who can speak Japanese Language (a Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)

Compensation & Benefits

• Basic Salary: JPY 450,000 – 500,000 (Approximately USD 2,831 – 3,146) (Negotiable based on experiences)
